It would be hard to imagine a world without gasoline or oil, but what about petroleum? - Better known as "petrochemicals" - as ethylene. These petrochemicals are present more than we think in everyday life. Petrochemicals are compounds derived from petroleum and natural gas generally, as can also be obtained synthetically by the processes carbochemical.

Petrochemical Engineering Process Engineering is almost equal to the Chemical Engineering, with the difference that this study in more detail the Chemical Process applied to hydrocarbons. A Petrochemical and Chemical Engineering Engineer apply the same mathematical and chemical techniques to analyze and design processes, and can perform the same functions in the industry.
